Strawberry Fields Yield Family Fun!

Whether you prefer your fresh strawberries with ice cream or whip cream, on shortcake or pound cake, or in strawberry rhubarb pie, or just like popping these juicy gems in your mouth plain, you'll love strawberry season at Gro-Moore Farms!

Each year, Gro-Moore Farms has a special sampling time so you can get your first taste of this season’s fresh homegrown strawberries. This event is held at Gro-Moore Farm Market on East Henrietta Road, in front of the Dome Center. This free sampling time is open to the entire public. Strawberries are well known for all their health benefits, and people love the many products that are made with and for strawberry consumption.

Gro-Moore Farms will be offering samples of their new fresh baked pound cake and strawberry rhubarb pie, as well as wonderful mixes for shortcakes, and muffins. Don’t forget to try their strawberry preserves. They even have some varieties with no added sugar for those trying to monitor their sugar intake.

Kathy Moore, who sets up the sampling of fresh strawberries, along with pies, cakes, and other strawberry delights on our special day, Strawberry Sunday, mentioned “When you start with the best strawberries, you end up with the most delicious desserts, preserves, and pies.”

The hours for Pick-Your-Own And the Farm Market are:

8:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m. Mon. thru Fri.
8:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. Sat. and Sun.
